vacation rentals

Filed under: travel — journeys @ 10:26 pm

Since me and my special loved one cannot seem to find a common time when we can take a vacation, our plans for going to one seemed to be delayed more and more.  I just really hope we can take a grand vacation together.  We both deserve it!  It doesn’t have to be some place really elegant or anything.  We can just stay in one of those vacation rentals and just spend quality time together.  I know we’ll both be happily contented with just that.  But of course it would be nicer to be able to swim in a pristine beach and do fun activities together.

We were searching the internet for some ideas where to go just in case we get to have time already.  The Playa de Carmen vacation homes and Cancun Vacation rentals seems like great places to stay at.  But then again, these places are a bit far from us so we have to find more places nearby. But of course, in case we get to be near that side of the world, we would certainly consider staying at those places.

dreaming of England

Filed under: travel — journeys @ 10:23 pm

Have any of you tried staying in one of those private cottage rentals in Shropshire ? They say there really are nice places in England where you can stay in case you plan to take a vacation there. It would certainly be fun to visit rustic England with the family. Those private cottage rentals seems a good option where to stay.

Since I was a kid I have been amused with stories of kings, queens, princesses and castles. Visiting England is like a dream come true for me. It’s like putting into life the fairy tales I have heard about castles when I was still a kid. I have seen a lot of tourist attractions in England over the internet, but of course nothing beats seeing it with your very own eyes! I’m sure I would have loads of fun taking pictures of all those nice architectures all over.

I really hope that I will have the chance to visit this place. England is one of my top 3 places to visit before I die. I’m really exciting, just even thinking about it! Well I guess it would be nice to read more about the place so as not to miss any of those must-see tourist spots! I hope I would be able to buy some pretty nice souvenirs to remind me of my visit in England.

St. Joseph Cathedral (San Jose, Nueva Ecija)

I stayed in San Jose, Nueva Ecija for 4 days and stayed at Hotel Tierra. Just a few meters away is St Joseph Cathedral, one of the oldest cathedrals in the country. I must say, the cathedral looked really nice. I was in awe even just by looking at its facade. And as I walked in, I felt more drawn to it. I took a few moments of silence to say my prayer and made my wish. Well, as they say, if it’s the first time you visit a church, you can make a wish and it will be granted so that’s what I did (no harm done for trying).

who to turn to?

Filed under: tips — journeys @ 9:35 am

In case you get into trouble, do you know who to go to for help? I think it is essential to know who to turn to, to get you out of a mess. As they say, you should know at least 1 lawyer. Anyway, if you are interested to read about criminal law and criminal proceedings, you can visit Los Angeles Criminal Defense Lawyers Blog | California Criminal Law Discussions.

Rubiks Cube

Filed under: interesting stuff — journeys @ 8:23 am

Have you tried solving one? It can really be quite addicting and very time consuming (especially if you don’t know how to solve it). Well, my sweetie’s sisters are into it lately which made me reminisce those days when I can actually solve one. I somehow can’t remember the moves and can just go and fix the two layers. Oh well. Hopefully I can polish my rubiks cube skills again.

Visit Rome

Filed under: travel — journeys @ 1:07 pm

Certainly, one of the many goals that we must achieve or experience is the joy of travelling. Our Earth is filled with beautiful places to visit and explore. Being there is very much different from just watching TV or viewing the place from a magazine. I promised myself that I’ll work hard and earn my plane ticket and booking for a trip to this place before I get old. These travels need not be expensive as there are many services which specifically cater to customers looking for discounted prices for hotel bookings.

Rome particularly interests me. It is a place filled with many places to check out like The Vatican and the ancient Coliseum. Much has been said about the St. Regis Grand Hotel for its aura of luxury and exclusivity. It is very pricey but dreaming about spending a night there is free. It’s so very easy to check for good places and big discounts for your travel needs.

Visit London

I have always been fascinated about London. I have never experienced living in a monarchy and I wonder how it’s really like. It would be nice to catch even just a glimpse of the Queen and watch the Royal Guards surround her. I also would like to see just how crazy people are about football and check out the fanatics in this side of England. However, travelling halfway around the globe would require money but you can maximize your spending power for you trip to London.

HotelClub is a leading expert in the field of online booking at great discount prices. Their site is very user-friendly and is even equipped with a site translator for 13 languanges. All the major credit cards and payment methods are available and you are sure to get the place and discount that you prefer. This is the travelling portal I want to use why I book my trip to England.

happy skiing!

My mom has spent a good number of years at Canada. She said that one has to get used to the weather there because it can get very cold sometimes. But of course, cold weather has its bad and good effects. The good one is that cold weather means a lot of snow and snow means a lot of time to frolic and ski on it. One of the best places to do this, she says, is at Whister BC. The view is spectacular and is truly one of the finest ski resorts in the world. Proof of this is that the place will host the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Whistler accommodation is not at all difficult to book. The place has plenty of choices if you’re looking for Whistler lodging rental. My mom has told me that the best way to check out availability for lodging is to go online. Check out Blueberry Hill 2  which is truly a prime destination if you’re planning your stay. Happy skiing!

Latitude

Filed under: food — journeys @ 12:57 pm

It was yet another gastronomical saturday night date for my sweetie and I.  Thanks for the gift certificate I got from Citiguide which was at 50% off.  As some of my friends would know, we’re buffet addicts.  I guess we really just share the common passion for food.   Well, we would have probably gone to Paseo Uno again at Mandarin instead if we weren’t able to get gift certificates for Latitude at the Trader’s Hotel.

They did have quite an array of goodies to offer. Well, they’re not exactly that exemplary, though.  I even find some dishes a bit dry.  But all in all, it was a great experience and we were really stuffed at the end of the night.

Check out some photos I took.

Well, it was a welcome change, although we still think that Paseo Uno is still at the top of our list.  We have yet to try Spiral at Sofitel, though and maybe our minds would change.

computer savvy

Filed under: technology — journeys @ 2:57 am

I recently had a problem with my computer. It just decided to not properly work as it was intended to work. Unfortunately, I don’t know much about it. I just know how to use it, but I’m not really good at technicalities when it comes to fixing it when something goes wrong. It’s really a good thing that my brother knows a lot about computers. My laptop’s hard drive had some problems. He made some diagnostics and then concluded that the hard disk should be replaced already. He just bought a new one and installed it himself. So now, my computer is running again, thanks to my brother!
